| One of New Orleans' oldest surviving music clubs, Jimmy’s was recently sold by its namesake owner (Jimmy Anselmo) and now operates primarily as a dance club for the college-age crowd. New lighting, PA system, and a wall separating the bar from the dance floor and stage are a much-needed improvement for this club. While Gimmick’s is going to be primarily a dance club, occasional live shows will continue to provide an outlet for new bands (from punk to funk) in the New Orleans area. |
