| The Concert Choir of New Orleans was founded in 1959 to fulfill a need for an adult choral group dedicated to singing works not normally available to singers or audiences of the New Orleans area. The CCNO concentrates on singing music of the classical, romantic, and contemporary periods. The many famous titles performed by the Choir include J.S. Bach (Mass in B Minor, Passion According to St. John, Magnificent, and three Missa Brevi),and Mozart (Requiem, Solemn Vespers for a Confessor, and several of the later masses).
